Our nature house is located in a unique spot in a rustic Swiss mountain village, with breathtaking views of Mont Blanc. It is the last chalet in the village and only accessible on foot via a 300-meter path. The car can be parked for free, and there is a wheelbarrow for luggage.The chalet has a spacious, sunny south-facing terrace and sits on a large private property surrounded by hiking trails. Inside you will find a cozy living room with a closet full of books, games and hiking maps. There is intentionally no television or internet, so you can really enjoy the peace, nature and each other's company. Those who do want to get online will find WiFi at Café Central in Finhaut.
Nature and surroundings
Giétroz is an authentic Swiss mountain village where the tranquility and atmosphere of the past have been preserved. In nearby Finhaut (7 minutes by car, 35 minutes on foot) you will find a supermarket, post office, ATM and some café-restaurants. The village is an ideal base for hiking and nature lovers. There are trails for every level: from flat trails for families to challenging hut tours. The famous Tour du Mont Blanc can also start here. Giétroz is located on the steepest mountain railway in the world, the funiculaire with an 87% rise. This takes you to the Emosson dam at 2000 meters - an impressive starting point for hikes towards France (such as Refuge de Loriaz) and the Swiss Valais, including the Tour des Dents-du-Midi.
