The nature house is right on the edge of the forest, on the southern edge of Born (municipality of Amel). The village is located in the heart of the Belgian Eifel, in the East Cantons and in the Eifel-Ardennes region, near the German-Belgian Nature Park High Fens - Eifel.
Nature and surroundings
In the center of the village of Born, the old Freiherr-Von-Korff bridge with its eleven arches spans the famous Vennbahn cycling route. Born is thus an ideal starting point for extensive bicycle tours with an e-bike, mountain bike, trekking or racing bike. In Born you can start a tour in the extensive bicycle network of more than 1,300 kilometers of mapped and signposted bicycle and mountain bike trails. Numerous hiking trails take you through wonderful forest and meadow landscapes. The nature house is located 20 km from the Spa-Francorchamps race track and 24 km from the High Fens and Botrange, the highest point in Belgium.
