This nature house is an old Ardennes farmhouse from the 18th century, renovated with all the necessary amenities and comfort. This nature house is located in Honnay, on the border between the province of Namur and the province of Luxembourg. Honnay is a small, quiet farming village at an altitude of about 250 meters in a beautiful landscape, in an environment with a rich historical past. In the village there is practically nothing, except the cows that graze there and occasionally the farmers who drive through the streets to the cows in the fields. The cottage has direct neighbors, but is nevertheless located in a very green and quiet environment. At the back you have a beautiful view over the meadows and forests, suitable for brisk walking and cycling. Chatting around the wood stove in the center of the house, preparing delicious meals in the super-equipped country-style kitchen and enjoying the view, especially in summer, from the terrace. Furthermore, there is free WiFi and TV-Vlaanderen for those who can't miss it. This cottage can also be booked for nine people under house code 32801.

First, upon entering there was a huge sewer smell, owner called but was already familiar with this. There was glass and iron caps in the garden in the grass.Crockery and cutlery were dirty.Floor upstairs in 1 bedroom was very scary, you could see through cracks to the living room, floor "sprung" when you walked on it, as if you could sink through the floor at any moment. The landing was "secured" with a fence with bars, 1 of which was broken off and another was repaired with tape. Absolutely not safe with small children. The garden had a sitting area at the house, the garden was at least half a meter lower. No security there either. Our (older) dog also did not realize this immediately and fell because of this. The downstairs toilet does not flush/badly flush, also this problem has been known to owner for some time.

    Nature, peace & environment: 5 /5

The area was beautiful, you do have to drive half an hour to do anything. But if you come purely for peace and quiet this is perfect (muv the neighboring dogs barking non stop). The cottage itself was fine for a few days, but you should not have too many demands.

The upstairs is a little different as far as winter is concerned than summer I think. Old-fashioned chilly upstairs. Electric heater though.

Delightful. You can go in all directions here. From the vacation home or a little drive and then walk there and enjoy. Top!
