Very spacious 10-12 person family house right on open water in Friesland with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, large open kitchen, spacious living room with French doors and 3 verandas. The house is surrounded by a spacious garden (2000 m²) with plenty of privacy and is located on a picturesque harbor. The house has its own jetty(45m). The location of the nature house makes it ideal as a base for a vacation in Friesland in the Alde Feanen nature reserve. By boat you sail in 45 minutes to Grou, or in 20 minutes to Eernewoude. At the house are 4 two-person canoes that may be used freely. The 12-person motor sloop can be rented separately, for experienced skippers only. You can also rent a sailing boat (Randmeer). In the summer, fresh rolls and fresh fruit/smoothies etc. are for sale at the head of the harbor (at De Polle). There are many beautiful walking, cycling and sailing routes in the immediate vicinity.
Nature and surroundings
The area is characterized by beautiful natural landscape, absolute silence, many birds and numerous cycling, walking and boating routes. Especially "De Ålde Feanen" (258 hectares large) offers a unique water and wandering area with numerous lakes, creeks and ditches which are connected like a maze. In the Archipelago around Eernewoude, Grou and Drachten you can map out beautiful (sailing) routes and relive the book "Schippers van de Kameleon". The Sneekermeer lake is also within sailing range. There are waterfront restaurants in several places, including at the head of the small harbor. The Frisian Cities such as Leeuwarden, Franeker (Planatarium) and Dokkum offer a nice opportunity for a day out and cultural visit.
