Nature house in Easterein (Oosterend)

Across a path, spanned by a rose pergola, you step through an old church door into the nature house's hallway. The little red chapel has a romantic, rustic feel with its wooden floor and ceiling, double bedstead and British "Belfast sink. Monastery windows, classic wallpaper, English curtains, stained glass windows and antique furniture give it a warm feel. The accommodation is an attractive, self-sufficient vacation home with central heating radiators and hot and cold running water. There is a kettle, and a 2 burner stove. Basic cooking utensils and crockery are provided. Recently there is in our recreation room a spacious kitchen with microwave, induction hob oven, dishwasher and refrigerator for common use. The sanitary facilities are separate from the chapel, a few meters away. Please bring your own towels. Your bed is made and you are welcome from 15.00 on arrival day. Wood-fired sauna can be used on day of arrival (15 euros / 1 hour).

For lovers of culture, history, peace and quiet, the home port is centrally located between the Frisian Eleven cities of Bolsward, Sneek, Leeuwarden and Franeker. At two kilometers walking, cycling or sailing distance is the picturesque village of Easterein, where the medieval church and Friesian (film) café/restaurant are worth a visit. You quickly become impressed by the beautiful farms, picturesque meadows and waterways. To enjoy these waterways, canoes can be rented on site. Terherne, where the books of the Kameleon come to life for children, is easily accessible from this location. A visit to the various Frisian Eleven towns nearby is all worthwhile. Franeker, for example, has the oldest working planetarium in the world, which can be visited. The port city of Harlingen, where the ferries to Terschelling and Vlieland depart, is rich in cozy fishing cafes. Bolsward, with its beautiful town hall and canals, is also just a stone's throw away. Finally, the Frisian capital Leeuwarden, perfect for shopping and culture lovers.
