Welcome to our vacation paradise. High in the mountains of one of the most beautiful and less touristy areas of France, the air is fresh and nature flourishes.... The cottage was once a barn and has been renovated with much love and attention. The central area (kitchen, dining area and living room) is very spacious and yet very cozy and friendly. It is decorated with objects collected over the years at the wonderful flea markets held every summer in the surrounding villages.The vacation home can comfortably sleep 10 people. There are three double bedrooms and a gallery that opens onto the central room with mattresses for the younger generation. They love it! The house overlooks a large garden where we love to spend long hours. It has shady and sunny corners where you can relax and dine. We have left the garden partly with natural vegetation to attract birds and pollinators.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located at about 1050 meters altitude in a national park, in one of the most beautiful and peaceful regions of France: Le Puy De Dome in Auvergne. A paradise for nature lovers: forests (you might come across a deer, a squirrel, a fox or a hare, and in season you will find wild raspberries and mushrooms) small farms, rivers, fishing, swimming ponds with beautiful views are all close by. Ground floor is cool (and humid) with spacious bedroom and simple bathroom. 1st floor nice spacious living area with open kitchen and bedrooms/loft and nice bathroom. Fine terrace, with wide view of garden and forest. Very nice garden with sitting areas.
