Guests who stayed here find the surroundings fantastic for
Bird watching Cycling Hiking

In a natural forest (not a park) in the still largely undiscovered Vechtdal region of Overijssel, this wooden nature house—beloved by the owners, who have owned it since 2007—stands on a sand dune. Working and living in Amsterdam, they come here regularly themselves to unwind and enjoy everything the area has to offer. The cottage is lovingly decorated with tasteful details and features a smart TV, plenty of books, music (Sonos), and a full set of kitchen utensils. There’s also a Weber grill, and bicycles are ready for you to use. In addition to several seating areas, a brand-new 4-person outdoor sauna was installed in the woodland garden in 2023, which you can use—for an additional fee, if desired. Check-in is from 4:00 p.m. (your bed will be made!) and check-out is at 10:00 a.m. (to allow for cleaning and welcoming the next guests).

Nature and surroundings

The nature house is situated in a completely private location on a rolling plot of approximately 1,800 m², just a stone’s throw from the Vecht River. Here you’ll find the ultimate in tranquility in a stylish, luxuriously furnished home. There are endless opportunities for hiking (with access to the Pieterpad and Maarten van Rossumpad trails) and biking/mountain biking. There’s also plenty of culture, including museums such as Het Nijenhuis and the Gardens of Mien Ruijs; you can cuddle pigs or go on a cow safari, and the city of Zwolle (De Fundatie Museum) is just 20 minutes away. But staying home and enjoying the squirrels, birds, wood mice, and the silence is, of course, also a great option. Or enjoy the wonderful wood-fired sauna. In short: You’ll love it here!

It would have been a 10 if the cottage had been a little cleaner. The house is cozy, and you feel very welcome. Nice and beautiful decor. A wonderful bed in a cozy bedroom.
    We definitely recommend it.

Even though our neighbor was getting his yard ready for winter, we enjoyed the surroundings and nature. A beautiful spot in the middle of the forest, full of squirrels. Wonderful!

Because of the rain or strong winds, a sewer smell came into the bathroom.

    Nature, peace & environment: 5 /5

Nature truly surrounds the Boshuis on all sides.
    Pure enjoyment.
