Nature house in Barchem

In the beautiful scenic landscape of the Achterhoek, right next to nature reserve the Stelkampsveld, you will find this nature house in the yard of a beautiful Saxon farmhouse from 1882. A wonderful place for active peace seekers: walking, cycling, nice places, cozy cafes, nature and culture. The nature house has a cozy, compact living room with open kitchen, three bedrooms for up to six people, a complete bathroom, a separate toilet and another shower room with sink. The view from the living room window of the garden and towards the nature reserve is phenomenal. In wet times many water birds can be seen and sometimes even flamingos! The beautiful garden and the attractive yard are shared with the landlord who himself lives in the farm next to the cottage. However, the cottage has its own entrance and two private terraces: one right by the house (partially roofed) and one further down the garden. Bicycles find a safe storage place in the large barn. Please note: no smoking!

This nature house is located in the coulisse landscape of the Achterhoek. If you walk, bike or drive by car here, the view is very beautiful and never the same. There is a great variety with canals, forests, meadows and arable land. The area is ideal for quiet walking and cycling on B-roads and beautiful dirt roads with gravel bike paths along meandering streams, estates and farms. Whether hiking or biking, there are always beautiful trails on your doorstep here. The cottage is located on the bicycle node network (segment 75-62), near the Slinge (with a draw ferry on the Galgenveld) and within walking distance of the Stelkampsveld. Beautiful routes can also be driven by car. There are well-known car routes nearby, such as the Hamalandroute and the Slingeroute. Route information is available at the cottage. In the Achterhoek there are many bicycle festivals held in many places, easily accessible from the nature house: Borculo, Diepenheim, Markelo, Laren, Goor, Eibergen and Delden.
