Nature house in Mabompré

The house was not completely clean upon arrival and is in need of an overhaul. There are some damages that are not in the pictures. In winter the house is very cold and difficult to heat with the small electric fire and hearth. Unfortunately a setback for us.Landlord's response:The thorough refurbishment and necessary repairs were planned and have been completely done over the past few weeks. The current photos date from March 2026.

Het huis was niet helemaal proper bij aankomst en is toe aan een opknapbeurt. Er zijn wel wat beschadigingen die niet op de foto's staan. In de winter is de woning erg koud en moeilijk te verwarmen met het kleine elektrisch vuurtje en het haardvuur. Helaas een tegenvaller voor ons.

Reactie van verhuurder:
De grondige opknapbeurt en de nodige herstellingen stonden gepland en zijn de voorbije weken helemaal uitgevoerd. De huidige foto's dateren van maart 2026.

There are plenty of wonderful walks nearby, so the region is definitely recommended. The cottage itself was unfortunately less so. Especially in the winter months it is very cold and difficult to get warm.

Er zijn tal van prachtige wandelingen in de buurt, dus de regio is zeker een aanrader. Het huisje zelf was helaas minder. Zeker in de wintermaanden is het er erg koud en moeilijk warm te krijgen.

The cottage was fine, the bedrooms ok. One more seat is allowed. For the rest everything is ok

We had a nice stay. The beds slept great. With the fine wood stove we could make it cosy in the cottage, with only the radiators it did not work so well (outside it was about 5 degrees and the wind was strong). The children had a lot of fun on the trampoline. We had a wonderful adventure hike at Le Heroú. With five people the cottage is spacious enough, with eight people/adults it seems a bit cramped in the living space downstairs.

We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad. De bedden sliepen heerlijk. Met de fijne houtkachel konden we het behagelijk maken in het huisje, met alleen de radiatoren lukte dat niet zo goed (buiten was het ongeveer 5 graden en het waaide stevig).
De kinderen hebben veel plezier gehad op de trampoline. We hebben een prachtige avontuurlijke wandeling gemaakt bij Le Heroú.
Met vijf personen is het huisje ruim zat, met acht mensen/volwassenen lijkt het me wat krap in de leefruimte beneden.

Het was heerlijk rustig, met een prachtig uitzicht op de herfstbossen. Grote langgerekte tuin met trampoline.
