This small nature house is located on the Zeeland island of Schouwen-Duiveland. It is a nature house for 2 persons, which is ideal for nature lovers and people who want to take a break. The surroundings offer several possibilities for this. The cottage has a living room with TV (Netherlands 1, 2 and 3 Omroep Zeeland and Rijnmond ), WiFi and a comfortable (sleeping) couch. The bedroom has two comfortable single beds. Of course there is a shower and toilet. The kitchen is equipped with gas stove and microwave, refrigerator with freezer. For heating there is a wood stove. There is plenty of firewood available, you do not have to bring your own. Instructions on how to use the stove are available. Bicycle/hiking maps are available. Bicycles can be put in the shed. Outside you can sit and enjoy all the tranquility and nature around you. The large trees provide pleasant shade in hot weather. Garden furniture and cushions are available.
Nature and surroundings
Next to this nature house is a large garden with a natural pond and a forest. In the garden you can walk on the wide paths and enjoy the plants including reed orchids and animals that live there: deer, pheasants, woodpeckers and more. Also, the nearby Kreken area of Ouwerkerk is an ideal setting for a walk or bike ride. You are near the Oosterschelde National Park. The beach on the Oosterschelde is easy to reach by bike and you can swim safely. The creeks, created after the flood disaster, are within walking distance. Near Ouwerkerk is the Watersnoodmuseum. On the island of Schouwen-Duiveland is the medieval town of Zierikzee with a cozy city center, a harbor, museums and several eateries. Supermarkets such as AH, Aldi, Lidl can be found in Zierikzee at 7Km, Jumbo and Aldi in Nieuwerkerk at 4Km distance. Bicycles can be rented if necessary.
