This nature house is the former presbytery of the village of Rio. It is majestically situated and has a beautiful view of the Val di Vara from the very spacious terrace. Rio is a frazione of Sesta Godano and lies at the foot of the flanks (300 meters) of Monte Gottero, one of the mountains that make up the Alte Via dei Monti Liguria. It is a sweet, small mountain village with the ruins of one of the palazzi of the Malespina family. Pretty alleys with arches, beautiful old village houses, the spring with a small water spigot and wild palms here and there. With at the edge of the village the large path that leads to the top of Monte Gottero. The nature house is located on the square with church and detached bell tower. In the square are two mighty evergreen oaks. Rio is just under 30 minutes from the coast/sea in a mountainous area. Dog or cat on request.
Nature and surroundings
This nature house features a spacious entrance that gives access to a cozy, spacious living room with an authentic, ceramic wood stove. The living room gives access to the kitchen, the bathroom and the hallway to the bedrooms. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, large sink, bidet and toilet. In the corridor there are two spacious bedrooms on either side, both with a door to the terrace. There is also access to the terrace through the hallway. All rooms in the nature house have the original arched ceilings. The terrace is very spacious, has a large dining table and faces southwest. For shopping you have the Sesta Godane, the larger town five minutes away which has a supermarket, bakery, pizzeria and so on. There is also Varese Ligure 15 kilometers away, a picturesque town, even a little larger than Sesta Godano. Tuesday mornings there is a market.
