Nature house in Elahuizen

The house, built in 1985 and recently renovated, stands on the edge of the largest Frisian lake the Fluessen, on the border with the Heegermeer. It offers comfortable accommodation with beautiful views in every season. It is an ultimate place for nature and water lovers and peace seekers.This nature house is located on a spacious plot one kilometer outside Elahuizen on the open water. It consists of two attached cottages. One house is equipped as a wonderful stay for our friends and visitors of Nature House. The other cottage is not rented out. So it may be that we are present in the neighboring house, but because of the large outdoor space, you will notice little of this. By the way, you can inquire prior to booking with a message in the chat whether we are present in the intended period. The green outdoor space is wonderful, but the contact with the water is definitely exceptional!

The waters of the Fluessen lend themselves to all water sports, fishing and vistas and are a source of pleasure. Near the house is a private dock to moor a (rental) boat. The beautiful surroundings invite you to walk, cycle and visit the beautiful Frisian places of the Southwesthoek. The magic of this place is in the contact with the water and the sky. Every day the views over the water and the skies are impressive, with the most beautiful sunsets and starry skies. When the onshore wind turns on, the sound of wind and water dominates. In the vicinity are many nature reserves of the Fryske Gea, among others. Within walking distance there is the beautiful bird watching hut of Het Swin. The beautiful, old Rijster forest and the Mirnster cliff are 10 to 15 kilometers away. But also the authentic Frisian towns and village centers, such as Sloten, Workum, Hindeloopen and Stavoren, or the planetarium of Eise Eisinga are well worth a visit.
