This nature cottage is located in Chez Philipaud, a hameau that is part of the commune of Montmérac, in the Sud-Charente. Nature is characterized by a lovely, rolling landscape, interspersed with forests, vineyards and sunflowers. The beautiful Charente River meanders through the landscape and offers extensive opportunities to enjoy yourself on or near the water. The beaches of the Atlantic Ocean are more than an hour away, but closer by you will find lakes with beautiful beaches. The nature cottage is located in the orchard of the Domaine. The cultivation of the plot next to the orchard changes every year: summer wheat, corn and sunflowers therefore provide an annually changing picture. From the cottage you can watch the sun rise, and if you are early, you might spot a deer or rabbit in the garden. For enthusiasts, the mostly clear nights offer a wonderful view of the night sky, as light pollution is not an issue at all in this part of France. A short distance from the cottage you walk into the forest.
