An attractive nature house on Walcheren. Suitable for up to three persons. Quiet location, just outside the village of Biggekerke. View of the countryside and the dunes. Through newly created nature you can walk from the cottage to the beach. Or on the footpath on top of the dunes, walk to Zoutelande or Dishoek for a cup of coffee or a delicious lunch. The possibilities for walking or cycling are innumerable. And when you don't feel like going out, stay at home. Sit on the bench overlooking the dunes or in the sheltered garden where you have plenty of privacy. The garden is fenced, so your dog cannot get away. The cottage itself is completely renovated and luxuriously and comfortably furnished. There are two small bedrooms. The landlords' farm is next to the nature house, so you can always knock on the door for advice or help.
Nature and surroundings
Biggekerke is located just outside the busy tourist strip. There is a nice playground in the village and an (Icelandic) riding school that organizes daily outdoor rides. A lot of new nature has been created in the area. Just below the dunes are forests and the Westduin nature reserve. Walcheren is characterized by a beautiful, varied landscape. There are hiking and cycling paths everywhere. Oranjezon nature reserve and the forests of Schouwen Duiveland are well worth a visit. Famous tourist places are Veere, Domburg and Zoutelande. Vlissingen with its beautiful boulevard or Middelburg with its historic city center. Middelburg is called shopping city number one of the Netherlands! The biggest attractions remain the beaches. Great for a day of sunbathing, but also for long walks with or without the dog. Even in winter, the beach remains a great place to unwind and recharge your batteries.
