The nature house, built in solid wood construction and partly finished in local stone, is equipped with all modern comforts. On the ground floor is the spacious living and dining area (+ 60 m²), as well as the half open kitchen. Also a toilet (rainwater flush) and the storage / utility room are located on this level. The nature house is located in a low-traffic street on the outskirts of the quiet village of Dochamps. The cottage is clean, spacious, and tidy. What we found very bothersome was that the door or window leading to the patio wouldn’t open. This meant there was no direct access between the living room and the patio. The landlord was aware of this, but we weren’t told about it at check-in. It was hot this week, and because this door wouldn’t open, it was difficult to let the heat out of the house—especially in the morning when the sun was shining on the other windows that do open. The landlord brushed this off by saying that the other doors do open. We didn’t appreciate the way this was handled. We asked for this to be resolved, but it never went beyond a promise. Looking back, we saw this same issue mentioned in a review from a few years ago. Another point of concern is the shower. You can only shower while sitting in the tub. We could have seen this in the photo, but it didn’t really occur to us.

Achteraf lezen we dit probleem ook in een review van een paar jaar geleden. Verder aandachtspunt is de douche. Je kunt alleen zittend in bad douchen. Hadden we kunnen zien op de foto, maar ons niet zo gerealiseerd.

Bedankt voor de review. In verband met het raam dat uitgeeft op het terras. Dit is dus weldegelijk een raam en geen deur (zie foto’s). De drempel om hierdoor/over te stappen is +/-45cm hoog en 50cm breed. Onmogelijk om dit in 1 stap te doen dus er zou op het houten raamkozijn getrapt worden met beschadegingen en valpartijen tot gevolg. Toegang tot het terras kan perfect via de achterdeur.
