Nature house in l' Adret, Cornillac

This yurt is completely free on a south-facing slope in a dead-end valley on a dirt road. There are many comforts in this nature house. Electricity from two solar panels, a refrigerator, gas stove (buta), a wood stove, double bed with good, memoryfoam deck mattress, a picnic table, sunroof, compost toilet and running hot and cold water from the tap. There is also a nice outdoor shower. There are neighbors, but only a hundred yards away which gives you a lot of privacy.

The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. You overlook the primeval mountains of the Drôme. Nearby are caves in which people lived tens of thousands of years ago. There is lots of wildlife: badgers, foxes, boars, deer, roe deer and hares and lots of flowers in spring and summer. It is a typical Mediterranean flora, with wild thyme and lavender, which are wonderfully fragrant. The yurt is on the edge of a rough forest and there are very beautiful hiking trails in the area. 15 minutes away by car is l'Oule, a river that offers cooling on hot days. The next village with a supermarket is Remuzat (15-minute drive). You can also go to La Motte Chalacon, there is also a small supermarket, a bakery and cozy terraces (with WiFi). On Monday mornings there is a market with local products. A larger supermarket can be found in Verclause, about a 25-minute drive away. Nyons, the nearest town, known for its black olives, is about 40 minutes away.
