Regarding accessibility: it was clearly stated to you in advance that the property consists of different levels and multiple flights of stairs. For someone who is completely dependent on a wheelchair, assistance and support are indeed necessary.

In a large vacation rental that is rented out almost continuously, there may unfortunately be minor issues that need to be repaired from time to time. We try to have these addressed as quickly as possible, depending on the availability of professionals. These are not issues that significantly hinder your stay.

We certainly take your comments regarding cleanliness and lighting to heart and will check them again.

We vinden het jammer dat uw verblijf niet volledig aan uw verwachtingen heeft voldaan.

Wat betreft de toegankelijkheid: vooraf werd jullie duidelijk aangegeven dat de woning uit verschillende niveaus en meerdere trappen bestaat. Voor iemand die volledig afhankelijk is van een rolstoel is begeleiding en hulp inderdaad noodzakelijk.

In een grote vakantiewoning die vrijwel continu verhuurd wordt, kunnen er helaas af en toe kleine zaken zijn die hersteld moeten worden. We proberen deze zo snel mogelijk te laten uitvoeren, afhankelijk van de beschikbaarheid van vakmensen. Het gaat daarbij niet om zaken die het verblijf wezenlijk belemmeren.

Uw opmerkingen over de netheid en verlichting nemen we uiteraard ter harte en zullen we opnieuw controleren.

Plenty of space, but loooads of stairs: a problem for our guest with limited mobility. It took a lot of help to “lift” her from one room to another; even the ground-floor bedroom was separated from the bathroom/toilet by four stairs and was inaccessible to her!!!!
Furthermore, it wasn’t 100 percent clean, so after we cleaned up, we left it cleaner than it was when we checked in. Several light fixtures were also broken, so we had to make do with the multiple floor lamps that were available.

Ruimte genoeg , veeeeel trappen : nadelig voor onze mindervalide. Er was veel hulp nodig om haar van het ene vertrek naar het andere te “heffen “ zelfs de gelijkvloerse slaapkamer was door 4 trappen gescheiden van de badkamer/ toilet en voor haar onbereikbaar!!!!
Verder was het niet 100 procent proper , zodat wij na onze opkuis het properder achtergelaten hebben dan bij het inchecken. Ook verschillende lampen waren stuk zodat wij ons beholpen hebben met de meerdere aanwezige staanlampen

We stayed in the cottage with 17 people the first weekend and with 9 people the following days. The cottage is big enough for a large group, but you do have to be comfortable sharing rooms. There are several seating areas, making it easy to gather in smaller groups, but there’s also plenty of space for the whole group to sit on the couches or eat together at the table. The kitchen is a bit small, but thanks to the extra refrigerator in the pantry, the air fryer, oven, and 4-burner stove with large pots, it’s perfectly possible to cook for large groups. Unfortunately, there’s only one cutting board available.
On rainy days, we had a great time with the pool table, table tennis table, and sauna. There are also two whirlpool tubs (one reclining tub, one sitting tub), but unfortunately, the jets in the reclining tub weren’t working. Thanks to the sauna, however, we didn’t really need them.
The pool with lounge chairs and the field behind it with swings is wonderful for hot days!

Wij hebben het eerste weekend met 17 man in het huisje verbleven en de dagen daarna met 9 man. Het huisje is groot genoeg voor een grote groep, maar je moet dan wel comfortabel zijn kamers te delen. Er zijn verschillende zithoekjes waardoor het makkelijk is om in kleinere groepjes met elkaar te zitten maar er is ook voldoende ruimte om met de hele groep op banken te zitten of aan tafel samen te eten. De keuken is wat klein, maar dankzij de extra koelkast in de bijkeuken, de airfryer en oven en 4 pits fornuis met grote pannen lukt het prima om voor grote groepen te koken. Er is helaas wel maar 1 snijplank aanwezig.
Tijdens de regenachtige dagen hebben we ons goed vermaakt met de Pooltafel, tafeltennistafel en sauna. Er zijn ook 2 baden met jets (1 ligbad, 1 zitbad) maar van het ligbad deden helaas de jets het niet. Dankzij de sauna hebben we hier echter weinig behoefte aan gehad.
Het zwembad met ligbedden en het veld erachter met schommels is heerlijk voor de warme dagen!

Even though the nature house is located in a small village and has neighbors, you still get a sense of peace and freedom. The village is very quiet, and the woods and the river are just a short walk away.
The surroundings are beautiful, and thanks to its spacious interior and outdoor areas, the cabin is perfect for use in any weather.

Ondanks dat het natuurhuisje in een dorpje staat en buren heeft, heb je toch het gevoel van rust en vrijheid. Het dorp is heel rustig en de bossen en de rivier zijn snel te bereiken.
De omgeving is prachtig en het huisje is dankzij de grote binnenruimte en buitenruimte goed te gebruiken met goed of slecht weer.

For the price, you simply have to expect more. The house gives off a run-down and unfinished impression. Some of the rooms are haphazardly furnished and, partly for this reason, seem to serve no purpose. It gives the impression of a youth hostel that has seen better days. Some rooms have no natural light (the ground-floor bedroom facing the street).

The pool has no lighting aside from a quartz spotlight that is very glaring in the evening. The pool cover itself and the mechanism for rolling it up and down are old and, in some places, badly damaged and rusty. The stones around the pool are loose.

The property surrounding the house looks somewhat neglected. We swept it ourselves after arriving.

Für den Preis ist schlicht und einfach mehr zu errwarten. Das Haus macht einen heruntergekommenen/ unfertigen Eindruck. Die Räume sind zum Teil addidiv eingerichtet und erscheinen u.a. aus diesem Grund teilweise ohne Zweck. Es entsteht der Eindruck einer Jugendherberge die bessere Zeiten gesehen hat. Einzelne Räume haben kein Licht (Schlafzimmer ebenerdig zu Straße hin).

Der Pool hat keine Beleuchtung abgesehen von einem Quarzscheinwerfer der Abends stark blendet. Die Poolabdeckung selbst und der Mechanismus zum Auf-, Abrollen sind alt und teils stark beschädigt und verrostet. Die Steine um den Pool herum sind locker.

Das Grundstück um das Haus herum macht einen wenig gepflegten Eindruck. Wir haben nach der Ankunft selbst gefegt.

The surroundings of the house were very pleasant. It’s in an incredibly quiet and green location. Although the house is right next to other properties, you can’t really hear or see much of the neighbors. The starry sky is phenomenal.

The property is an authentic, well-maintained historic building that is about 350 years old, which is why its character and interior cannot be compared to a modern vacation rental. Practical details such as light switches, bedding, and how to use the property were communicated in advance. The unusually dry weather was the reason the garden had dried out. The temporarily repaired pool cover (pending delivery of a new, custom-made cover) and the special tile installation (not glued or traditionally grouted, so that water can drain away easily) were also deliberate choices and were explained in advance.

Die Umgebung des Haus war sehr angenehm. Es ist unheimlich ruhig und grün gelegen. Obwohl das Haus direkt an andere Grundstücke anschließt ist von den Nachbarn nicht viel zu hören/ zu sehen. Der Sternenhimmel ist phenomeal.

Bei der Unterkunft handelt es sich um ein authentisches, gut gepflegtes historisches Gebäude, das etwa 350 Jahre alt ist, weshalb sich sein Charakter und seine Innenausstattung nicht mit einer modernen Ferienwohnung vergleichen lassen. Praktische Aspekte wie Lichtschalter, Bettwäsche und die Nutzung der Unterkunft wurden im Vorfeld mitgeteilt. Die außergewöhnliche Trockenheit war der Grund für den ausgetrockneten Garten. Auch die vorübergehend reparierte Schwimmbadabdeckung (in Erwartung der Lieferung einer neuen, maßgefertigten Abdeckung) und die spezielle Fliesenverlegung (nicht verklebt oder traditionell verfugt, damit Wasser gut versickern kann) wurden bewusst gewählt und ebenfalls im Voraus erläutert.
