Nature house in Stroe

Heel tevreden. Je heerlijke stukje bos met alle facikiteiten die nodig zijn.

Everything you need is there. Everything has been well thought about and it is beautifully and tastefully decorated. The atmosphere is special and unique.

Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Over alles is goed nagedacht en het is mooi en smaakvol ingericht. De sfeer is bijzonder en uniek.

The owner responds quickly to mail. We found the cabin itself less pleasant to stay in: low, dark, dusty and full of furnishings. Fortunately, we had nice weather, which allowed us to be outside a lot. In the evenings we carried head lamps and used candles. We didn't like the smell of the oil lamps.The kitchen is fully equipped with good stuff, so cooking was good.There were a lot of mosquitoes, including inside. We drove to the Barneveld first for a mosquito net. The bed is short, narrow, with little space around it and the mattress sagged. The sleeping lofts looked even less comfortable, so we did not use it as an alternative. Picnic table by the fire pit and seating under the canopy are nice.

De hut zelf vonden we minder prettig om binnen te verblijven: laag, donker, stoffig en vol ingericht. Gelukkig hadden we mooi weer, waardoor we veel buiten konden zijn. In de avonden hebben we hoofdlampjes gedragen en kaarsjes gebruikt. De olielampen vonden we niet zo fijn ruiken.

De keuken is compleet ingericht met goede spullen, waardoor koken goed mogelijk was.

Er waren veel muggen, ook binnen. Wij zijn als eerste voor een klamboe naar de Barneveld gereden.

Het bed is kort, smal, met weinig ruimte eromheen en het matras doorgelegen. De slaapzolders zagen er nog minder comfortabel uit, waardoor we die niet als alternatief hebben gebruikt.

Picknicktafel bij de vuurplaats en het zitje onder de overkapping zijn fijn.

The place is beautifully situated in nature. Although it is not completely secluded: you see cyclists and walkers through the trees and you hear the highway and the railroad. The area is very beautiful and suitable for hiking and going out. Among other things, we walked at Radio Kootwijk, the Kootwijkerzand with the watchtower, the sheepfolds of Hoog Buurlo and Staverden Estate. We drove there by car. We also had a nice lunch at Gasterij 't Hilletje in Kootwijk, where our dog was welcome on the terrace. We didn't see any boar or deer at the cabin. We did see a hare, a woodpecker and other birds. Because of the drought and risk of forest fire we could not make a fire. -Reaction from landlord - Nice that you, according to previous mail have had a nice stay. It remains a back to basics cabin without electricity and v.w.b. cleaning what miserable, although we do our best. Never had mosquito complaints. The screen provides if, at this time, windows are left closed at night. Mattress was renewed last year and sleeps well according to reviews. Hut is located in its own piece of free nature where between trees/bushes, at 45 m distance, sometimes cyclists can be seen. In my experience this should not spoil the experience of nature.

De plek ligt prachtig in de natuur. Al is het is niet volledig afgelegen: je ziet fietsers en wandelaars door de bomen en je hoort de snelweg en het spoor.

De omgeving is erg mooi en geschikt om te wandelen en eropuit te gaan. We hebben onder andere gewandeld bij Radio Kootwijk, het Kootwijkerzand met de uitkijktoren, de schaapskooien van Hoog Buurlo en Landgoed Staverden. We zijn daar met de auto heen gereden. Ook hebben we fijn geluncht bij Gasterij ’t Hilletje in Kootwijk, waar onze hond welkom was op het terras.

We hebben geen zwijnen of reeën gezien bij de hut. Wel een haas, een specht en andere vogels.
Vanwege de droogte en bosbrandgevaar konden we geen vuur maken.

Fijn dat jullie, ook volgens eerdere mail een fijn verblijf hebben gehad.

Het blijft een back to basic hutje zonder electra en v.w.b. schoonmaak wat behelpen, al doen we ons best.

Nooit eerder muggen klachten gehad. De hor voorziet erin als, in deze tijd, raampjes ’s avonds worden dichtgelaten.

Matras is vorig jaar vernieuwd en slaapt volgens recensies goed. Hut ligt in eigen stuk vrije natuur waarbij tussen bomen/struiken door, op 45 m afstand, soms fietsers te zien kunnen zijn. Dat mag in mijn beleving de natuurbeleving niet drukken.

This was truly a cottage in the Veluwe as you imagined it at home. But it was also an experience.

Dit was echt een huisje op de Veluwe zoals je het thuis hebt bedacht. Maar het was ook een ervaring.
