Nature house in Rendeux

We had a wonderful stay at Le Bonheur. Communication with the host was excellent, and whenever we ran into any issues, they were addressed and resolved immediately. The accommodation was neat, clean, and fully equipped. There are still a few minor points to note, but they certainly didn’t detract from our stay. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend this nature house!

We hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad in Le Bonheur. De communicatie met de verhuurder was uitstekend en wanneer we ergens tegenaan liepen, werd dit direct opgepakt en opgelost. De accommodatie was netjes, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Er zijn nog wel een paar kleine aandachtspuntjes, maar die doen zeker niets af aan ons verblijf. Al met al hebben we genoten en zouden we dit natuurhuisje zeker aanbevelen!

We were on vacation with a group of people over 80, and we cut our trip short because the temperature in the seniors’ bedrooms reached 34 degrees. I had contacted the owner before our vacation began to ask if there were any fans available.There weren’t any. The lady had never received any complaints about the heat, so we bought three in the Netherlands anyway and set off. The only thing we could do was drive around and not sleep. We cut our trip short and returned home early.

We waren op vakantie met 80 plussers, en hebben onze reis afgebroken, het werd op de ouderen hun slaapkamers 34 graden. Ik heb contact gehad met de eigenaresse, voor aanvang van onze vakantie of er vantilatoren aanwezig waren.Deze waren er niet,Mevrouw had nog nooit klachten gehad over de warmte In Nederland toch nog 3 gekocht. En gegaan. Het enige wat we konden doen was rondrijden en niet slapen. We hebben onze reis vroegtijdig onderbroken, en vroegtijdig terug gegaan.

The house had a well-fenced yard. A very nice hot tub. It was located in a beautiful, picturesque setting.
The cottage needs maintenance and wasn’t clean. The Christmas decorations were there, and so was the chilled glass of wine we’d been promised. We had to take it out of the bowl filled with fake snow and pinecones on the table. It was 32 degrees. There were no fans. The floors in front of the downstairs showers have sagged, and there are loose planks hanging there. There were holes in the bottom sheets, the floor was very dirty, the toilet in the basement had no screws. There was a tear in the upstairs curtains, and a lot of cobwebs.

Landlord’s response:
Unfortunately, during your stay, we experienced an exceptional heat wave with temperatures so extreme that schools in various regions of Belgium even closed their doors. Our neighbor visited 12 stores trying to find fans, but due to the exceptional weather conditions, they were sold out everywhere.
Personally, we prefer to place the bottle of bubbly prominently on the table upon arrival; to us, at least, this seems much more inviting as a way to welcome you to our home, where we find certain decorations (pine cones, white balls (snow?))—which we find fairly neutral—and leave them up throughout the year.
In addition, we certainly take your comments about cleanliness and maintenance to heart and have already contacted our cleaning service to ensure that extra attention is paid to these areas.

Het huis was voorzien van een goed omheinde tuin. Een zeer goede jacuzzi, Het licht in een prachtige zeer mooie omgeving.
Het huisje heeft onderhoud nodig, en was niet schoon. De kerstversiering was aanwezig, en ons beloofde koud staand wijntje. Moesten we pakken uit de schaal met kunst sneeuw en dennenappels op de tafel. Het was 32 graden . Er waren geen ventilatoren. De vloeren voor de douches beneden zijn verzakt , er hangen losse planken voor. Gaten in de onderlakens, erg vuile vloer, wc in de kelder, zitten geen schroeven. Scheur in de gordijnen boven, en een hoop spinrag.

reactie verhuurder:
Tijdens uw verblijf hadden we helaas te maken met een uitzonderlijke hittegolf met zo extreme temperaturen dat in verschillende regio’s in België zelfs scholen hun deuren sloten. Onze buurman heeft nog 12 winkels bezocht & geprobeerd ventilatoren te vinden, maar door de uitzonderlijke weersomstandigheden waren deze overal uitverkocht.
Persoonlijk verkiezen wij om de fles bubbels zichtbaar op tafel te zetten bij aankomst, dit lijkt ons althans veel uitnodigender om jullie welkom te heten in onze woning, waar wij sommige decoratie (dennenappels, witte bolletjes (sneeuw?) vrij neutrale decoratie vinden & doorheen het jaar laten staan.
Daarnaast nemen we uw opmerkingen over de netheid en het onderhoud zeker ter harte & hebben hierover reeds contact voor opgenomen met onze poetsdienst zodat hier extra aandacht aan wordt besteed.

A lovely, spacious house, fully equipped, with a large garden.
The hot tub was already warmed up when we arrived, so we jumped right in.

Heerlijk, ruim huis, van alle gemakken voorzien, met grote tuin.
De jacuzzi was al opgewarmd bij aankomst, waar we gelijk gebruik van hebben gemaakt.
