A modern, ecodesign, cool and pure nature house in the floodplains of the river Waal, near Nijmegen but still completely outside. The accommodation has. a common room; consisting of a fully equipped kitchen and a large kitchen table for up to 8 people to have a nice meal and be together. The four rooms have good beds, a lovely shower/WC, armchairs and exit to the outside/terrace to enjoy the tranquility of Vlietberg. Also outside are a large table and several garden furniture and benches to relax in the surroundings. It is estimated that three cars pass by daily. Through Nature House you can book the entire accommodation. This is without breakfast.
Nature and surroundings
Enjoyment is plentiful in the lodging. It is even more intense to be outside all day and then stretch your legs with red faces. Strolling along the Waal, walking on farmland paths inside the dike, wandering through the Millingerwaard or a brisk bike ride along both sides of the Waal. If desired, the landlords can hire an experienced bird expert to make the experience of nature around the house accommodation even stronger. Located in the winter bed of the river Waal, Galloway cattle and Koniks horses more or less walk around the nature house. At sunset, the cormorants return to their favorite tree. All you hear at night is the cackling of the geese. With a little luck, the bald eagle will come to visit or some ospreys will pass by. The true Vlietberg experience is during high water of the Waal. Then you are on a peninsula surrounded by all the animals that normally live in the floodplains!
