Nature house in Chaumard

After spending our summer vacations at our “Grande Dame” over the past few years, it will once again be open to you for a few weeks in 2027. Built in 1850, the house is bright and spacious. It offers plenty of comfort and entertainment to make your stay carefree and enjoyable. It features a cozy and spacious living room with a corner sofa and armchairs. The terrace offers a magnificent view of the lake, the valley, and the hills of the Morvan. The TV and game room has a comfortable, cozy sofa and a TV.  Upstairs is the second bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and toilet. There are six bedrooms with comfortable beds: four with double beds and two with single beds (each measuring 90x200 centimeters), plus extra beds for the children. Right next to the house is a cozy, smaller garden with a built-in barbecue and a swing. There’s a large picnic table here that seats 10 people. There are also dining tables and chairs available that you can place wherever you like. High-speed fiber-optic Wi-Fi is available in and around the house.

The house is located in the heart of a nature reserve. From the back patio, you have a breathtaking view of the Morvan hills and Lac de Pannecière. You’ll have your own (rocky) beach on this incredibly beautiful lake. It’s wonderfully peaceful; only small boats used by recreational fishermen are allowed on the water. It’s a wonderful place for you and your children to swim, canoe, or fish. The Morvan is a nature reserve, and the air is clean. The hilly landscape consists largely of small-scale meadows with hedgerows and scattered groups of trees or shrubs, dense deciduous and coniferous forests, lakes, small ponds, and slow-flowing and babbling streams and rivers. Here you’ll find no industry, no large cities, and no four-lane highways. The Morvan offers plenty of opportunities to explore nature, whether it’s simply hiking, biking, birdwatching, or enjoying the flora, amphibians, mosses, mushrooms, or stars. Every season has its own charm.
