Nature house in Monthureux-sur-Saone

Mansion with private fenced garden and covered terrace on the Sâone River. The river is suitable for swimming and fishing and is easily accessible. Everything within walking distance of stores such as bakery, supermarket, butcher, ATM and restaurant. The village is called Monthureux sur Saône. The nature house has a large living room and large well-equipped kitchen. On the second floor there are two large bedrooms with two double beds and three single beds. The third bedroom has nice views of the river and has two single beds. A crib and an extra guest bed are available. All beds have comforters and pillows. In the bathroom there are two separate showers and two toilets. There is central heating, wireless internet and television with Dutch channels. In the house is an extensive folder with documentation and walking and cycling routes. Books, magazines, board games and children's toys are available. In the village is a playground and a boules court. In the vicinity are several nice restaurants, wineries, distilleries, markets and flea markets.

The environment,a hiking paradise, is characterized by a rolling hilly landscape that feels open and spacious. The (hiking) altitudes vary between 250 and 500 meters, sometimes with steep slopes. Beautiful forests and panoramic views. Nature with a diversity of flora and fauna (some of which are rare species). It is an old and historical region with clean and pure air and peace and quiet. It is still really quiet and at night it is really dark (with the beautiful starry sky clearly visible). Mild continental climate with mostly calm, dry weather. Many natural springs. At the heart of the region is the Darney forest area. It is one of the largest deciduous forests in France (12,000 hectares). Parts of it have evocative names like Valley of Druids and Valley of Wolves. Among other things, there grow many species of mosses (sign of the pure air) and several species of orchids, some of which are rare. It is also home to foxes, deer, wild boar, badgers and even the lynx again. In autumn many species of mushrooms can be found. Beautiful environment for hikers and cyclists.
