This nature house is part of a beautiful, authentic Mas(18th century), located in Saint Paul La Coste, in the south of France. It is a small, vast, quiet village with about 300 inhabitants. In the middle of a wooded area lies this nature house, equipped with all comforts. The common courtyard and terrace exude a true, warm charm. The property is based on the four elements of nature (fire, water, earth and air). The power and energy radiated by nature is therefore very much present here. If you want to get away from the daily grind, unwind and enjoy a piece of unspoiled nature, then you will definitely feel at home here. On the 25-hectare grounds, there is, depending on the seasons, something for everyone. A pleasant chat on the communal sunny terrace, enjoying the silence in one or another corner, a healthy walk in the area, refreshing in the pool, paddling in one or another river, relaxing in one of the hammocks, doing nothing under the beautiful chestnut tree, meditating on the rock, picking mushrooms, picking chestnuts, making snow walks, cross-country skiing (Mas de la Barque) and finding yourself in the silence of nature.
Nature and surroundings
Saint Paul La Coste is located in the French Department of Gard, region of Occitanie (Languedoc-Roussillon), at the foot of the Cévennes (recognized in 2011 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site), with a huge variety of breathtaking natural beauty. The area enjoys a microclimate with plenty of sunshine. Between the blue horizon of the Mediterranean and the tourist Ardeche lies a green, pearl of unspoiled,wild natural beauty. It is located (at 420 meters altitude) 16 kilometers from the city of Alès (old mining town), where you can find everything. Centrally located an hour from Nimes, an hour and a half from the Mediterranean, an hour and fifteen minutes from the Ardèche, an hour and a half from Montpellier, an hour and a half from Avignon, an hour and a half from Mas de la Barque, an hour and a half from Mont Aigoual (1565 meters), and so many beautiful things to visit on a day trip. Also closer : Anduze, Pont du Gard, Uzès, Sauve. There is a lot to discover!

Un souci dans la chaîne de paiement à la réservation. Le problème s'est quand même résolu en 10 jours.
Un accueil des plus délicieux. La maison de nos hôtes est un oasis perdu dans les Cévennes. En famille avec nos enfants de 9 et 11 ans, nous avons passé une douce et agréable semaine. Toute la famille a très apprécié. Nous recommandons chaleureusement à tous ceux et celles en quête de bien être.

Wij hebben 2 heerlijke weken doorgebracht in dit fijne en goed verzorgde appartement. De eigenaren waren zeer vriendelijk en niets was te veel. Heerlijk gezwommen in het zwembad en lekker geluierd in de hangmatten. Op een goed kwartier rijden, kun je ook heerlijk zwemmen in de rivier. Het appartement is zeer compleet uitgerust.
De eigenaren maken zelf brood, yoghurt en allerlei jams en siropen.
Ook verse eieren, honing en geitenkaas is te krijgen.
De omgeving is mooi en rustig. TOP vakantie!Heerlijk rustig bijna boven op de heuvel..Het geluid van de krekels is het enige wat je hoort

De eigenaars hebben eigenhandig drie gites in het ruime huis gebouwd, die van alle comfort voorzien zijn. De terrassen bieden een prachtig zicht op de natuuromgeving. Vanaf de site kan je wandelingen doen. Op een kwartier rijden ligt een rivier waarin je kan zwemmen. De eigenaars (en hun hond en katten) zijn erg gastvrij en vriendelijk, en maken hun eigen producten; je kan ook enkele keren per week aan een table d'hôte deelnemen. De ligging van het huis garandeert rust en stilte.
De Mas Le Castendel is zeer mooi gelegen, midden in de heuvels bij Alès; De weg van Alès naar het huis duurt weliswaar 20 minuten, maar de beloning zijn net de rust en de ruimte (het domein is zeer groot en erg goed onderhouden).
