Nature house in Prats de Mollo la Preste

Above the town of Prats de Mollo, on the flanks of the Canigou, the sacred mountain of the Catalans, lies this beautiful nature house. It is an ancient farmhouse. Now it has been transformed into a spacious vacation home with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large living kitchen and a living/playroom. In the living kitchen you will find all you need to cook. Under the large stone arches, the foundation of the house is the farm table with comfortable chairs. Outside on the private terrace there is also a large table and patio chairs. On the second floor there are two large bedrooms, each with a bathroom. The other two bedrooms are slightly smaller and share a bathroom together. When you arrive, the beds are made, and when you leave, the final cleaning is done by us. There is a swimming pool that is covered in the evening. Therefore, from April to November the water has a nice temperature.

The nature house is located on a hill and the view is 360° breathtaking. At the front of the house you look on the rolling hills of the valley of the Tech River. Behind the house rise the mountain massifs of the Pyrenees. Over those mountains lies a network of beautiful walks. There are over twenty marked walks that range from easy, to very difficult. You can start a small walk right around the house, or you can walk there and back in two days to the Pic de Canigou (2784m). The house is situated on 47 hectares of private land on which you can walk in a varied landscape; through the chestnut forest, along meadows and through a heath and you pass two mountain streams. From the house to the town it is five kilometers along an asphalt road. On foot it is a walk of about half an hour, through the meadows past a defensive fortress from 1600 and possibly through a tunnel. There are also mountain bike routes marked and for experienced cyclists there are also beautiful trips to make. While hiking in the mountains you are unlikely to meet many other people, but it is possible to spot wildlife. Deer, a badger, wild boar and special birds of prey are regularly seen.
