Our nature house in the north of the Dordogne is located in Sarlande and is part of Liabaquet, a French farmhouse that has been transformed into a mini-campsite with two gîtes. The cottage is comfortably and attractively furnished and fully equipped. For example, coffee/tea, washing-up liquid and kitchen and toilet paper are provided and there are towels waiting for you! There is a lovely screened garden where there is always a place to enjoy breakfast in the sun or shade or enjoy a book. It is free from the campground with private parking. On the grounds of over three acres there is also a beautiful fishing pond with, among other things, beautiful carp, in which free fishing is allowed. In high season, there is daily bread service and you can join in with the cozy table d'hôtes evening for a delicious three-course meal, the easy meal or pizza from our wood-fired pizza oven!
Nature and surroundings
In the village of Sarlande on the edge of the Parc naturel régional Périgord - Limouisin, the landlords of these nature houses in 2024 have found their dream spot. In the rolling green landscape of the Périgord Vert, in the north of the Dordogne, where forests and meadows alternate, the many Limousin cows and the small winding roads give you an immediate vacation feeling. The property of this nature house is characterized by space and its tranquility. During the day you are in the company of many birds and farm animals such as chickens, rabbits and a small flock of sheep. In the evening you can enjoy a beautiful sunset and a spectacular starry sky in which even the Milky Way can be seen! The area offers many possibilities, at short distances you can include hiking, mountain biking, canoeing and visit nice village and food markets, castles, caves a zoo and beautiful cities like Limoges and Périgueux. Whether you want to enjoy the tranquility or actively go out, it's all possible!
