Welcome! Fine green Burgundy place, where a Belgian/Flemish hostess settled in '16 with little son Warre who is now 13. Just outside the village of Marigny sur Yonne. The gite stands with three other cottages on 8000 m² of land. Open view & 500m from Le Canal du Nivernais & the Yonne river. Wooded area! Relax in one of the cozy 35m2 "Basic-naturel" gites but with all the comforts needed for a nice stay. Open kitchen/living room/ 2 bedrooms + sanitary room with walk-in shower. Suitable for up to 6 people (max four adults). In nice weather the spacious covered terrace is a good shade spot & the BBQ is at the ready. The high cozy living space>salon & open kitchen are perfect for putting a meal on the table: coffee maker, kettle, combination oven/grill & microwave & fridge with freezer. Hostess Erica> provides 3x/week dinner Table d'hôtes. Summer season= July & August; only rental per week or more. Arrival/departure on Tuesday/Saturday. Bienvenue !
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located 500 m from the Nivernais Canal, with its many locks, where you can enjoy walking, cycling and fishing. The canal is one of the most beautiful in Europe. Right next to it flows the Yonne. Top for carp and trout anglers! At five kilometers you will find Corbigny, a nice town with its beautiful 18th century abbey. There are two supermarkets (Atac and Aldi), bakers, butchers, caterers, pâtisserie stores, banks, nice stores and terraces/restaurants. In the spring & summer months there are weekend Brocante markets in the area, music festivities and street Act spectacles that attract people from far and wide. Le champ radis is located on the border of the Morvan with 5 large beautiful lakes >Lac Chaumeçon (20 km), Lac Pannecière (reservoir; 30 km) Lac Des Settons (reservoir, 40 km) there are beaches and playgrounds, one can rent pedal boats or take a boat trip. Plenty to do and see, relaxation and action for every age. Great cities and castles.
