From the veranda at the back of this traditional nature house you have a fantastic unobstructed view over rolling meadows. You look out over a valley with more and more trees and hedges in the distance. At the front of the nature house is a courtyard (cour) with the old well and the large barn you can also see in one of the photos. There is one bedroom with a double bed in the main house and in the barn there is a small gite for two additional people (see photos). You do need to bring your own bed, bath and kitchen linen. In warm weather there is always a place in the shade. Under the house is a large cellar. The garage is to the right of the large barn. The nearest inhabited house is about 200 meters away. The property is fenced with a hedge of all kinds of shrubs. Supermarket and stores are in Montmarault six kilometers away.
Nature and surroundings
Bee orchids have spontaneously appeared in the grass of our own garden for several years. In spring the nightingale, blackbird and numerous small singers, the hoopoe and oriole also sing in summer. Goldfinches nest there and later in the summer and fall feast on the seeds of evening primrose and chickweed. When mowing is done, you can sometimes see a hen harrier sailing over the meadows. In the surrounding area you can walk to your heart's content along beautiful trails and regularly organized walks (randonnées) are set up in the villages in the area with a small meal at the end. A rich flora can be found along the paths and hedges. Woodcarrot, primrose, arum, brushcress, periwinkle, lungwort and orchids. The buddleja attracts the most beautiful butterflies, such as king swallowtail, swallowtail, spaniel and the hummingbird butterfly. For the sporty: you can have fun on your VTT or take on the challenge of a ViaFerrata in Menat 50 km away.
