The nature house is over 100 years old and restored by the landlords. It used to be a bakehouse cum stall where a horse and a pig "lived," along with as many as 15 rabbits, because it was a self-sufficient place. Now it has been modernized into a comfortable cottage for two to three people with central heating and cooking facilities. It stands next to a large farm (where meals are available on request), in the middle of nature just outside a cozy village where everything is available and not far from the city of le Puy-en-Velay, worth a visit. In the immediate vicinity are many beautiful walks, whose descriptions are waiting for you. Keywords: rest, natural beauty and refuel....
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located in the south east corner of Auvergne, in the Haute Loire department. The Loire River rises not far from here and winds through the area, amidst forests and meadows. It is an old volcanic area with many lakes and endless hiking opportunities. There are also bridle paths and cycling routes. The nature house is at 750 meters altitude, completely private, with its own little terrace in front. You can make long trips without meeting anyone, but the people are also friendly and helpful if you can't find your way around. The villages are small and authentic with often a cozy cafe and gems of churches!
