Nature house in Le Chatelet

This nature house is located in the south of Parc Regional Du Morvan, a beautiful regional nature park in French Burgundy. The nature house is a typical French house with an attractive and romantic interior and a beautiful view over the hills of the southern Morvan. Enjoyment and unwind are a matter of course here. The landlords want to share their love for the house, the region and the beautiful nature on a limited scale with others who also want to respectfully enjoy all the beauty that the house and the environment have to offer. Central in the kitchen is a large wood stove that provides the necessary heating on cold days. In the living room there is a beautiful fireplace where it is nice to stay. The house sleeps up to six people. The bedroom on the ground floor is equipped with a small wood stove and an electric heater that provides the bedroom with pleasant warmth on cold days. The room in which the second and third bedrooms are located was completely renovated in 2011. From this room you have a beautiful view over the valley of the Yonne. There are two sports bikes which are free to use, easy to get a baguette at the bakery in Arleuf or a larger trip in the area. The house borders directly on meadows and vast forests. The house stands on almost 9,000 m² of land, of which about 3,000 m² is directly around the house and in use as a garden. Both in front of the house and behind the house are terraces. The front terrace is in the sun almost all day.

Due to the cottage's location on the outskirts of the hamlet of Le Chatelet, it seems to be in the middle of nature. The house has unobstructed views towards the south, overlooking hills and the Yonne valley. Forests are also plentiful. From Le Chatelet long walks can be made through beautiful forest areas. Le Chatelet is located in the south of the Morvan, near Chateau-Chinon, also called the capital of the Morvan. Chateau-Chinon is relatively small, with about 2,500 inhabitants, but has a very large regional significance, so relatively many facilities are available. Chateau Chinon is home to several supermarkets, a wide range of restaurants, a hospital, several bakeries, butchers and some museums. Chateau Chinon is also interesting because of its weekly market and some periodically recurring (antique) markets. Arleuf is about five kilometers from Le Chatelet. It is a small village with some nice restaurants as well as a butcher and a bakery. Water sports facilities are widely available in the Morvan. The five large lakes, the many rivers and numerous small "etangs" offer opportunities for various sports and activities on or around the water. Both on the various lakes and on/in some rivers, sports such as sailing, canoeing, swimming and fishing are possible. The hiking and biking possibilities here are also endless in the Morvan.
