We wanted a green place, away from the city, to enjoy peace, quiet, nature, good food, walking, inviting friends, .... that's why we completely renovated this old barn.During the week we rent out our cottage, because the view of the valley is too beautiful not to share it - possible to extend with a weekend, only on request 650€/2nights - The house is a renovated old barn with a beautiful view of the nature reserve of the High Fens and a perfectly sunny orientation! The kitchen is hobby chef proof ... dishwasher, oven, vitro-ceramic stove, nespresso machine, kettle, mixer, ... .2 spacious bedrooms with connecting bathroom, an attic room with 2 twin beds. Floor heating, towel radiators, fireplace, free wifi, Belgacom flat-screen TV with Netflix subscription, kitchen linen and bed and bath linen. The spacious south garden has sunbeds with shade tree, a green-egg with picnic table and a sitting area with fire bowl.
Nature and surroundings
It is located on the edge of the High Fens, the largest nature reserve in Belgium. The living space (and actually the whole plot) overlooks the valley of the river Warche, this area is located in natura 2000 zone, the birds of prey circle above your head and if you are lucky you will see deer at the edge of the forest. On the Fens you can make fantastic walks and the Eifel Nature Reserve just across the border in Germany is only twenty minutes away. Furthermore, there are several attractions to visit such as Malmedy, Monshau, Reinhardstein Castle, the lakes of Bütgenbach & Robertville, ... and so much more!
