Nature house in Nave Redonda

In the Alentejo, on the border with the Algarve, this nature house was built attached to the landlord's house in 2010. The nature house is fully equipped and has complete privacy. Besides the owner and her pets, no other people are present, including direct neighbors. You enter the cottage through a large private terrace, which is partially covered. The terrace is located on the southwest and has a seating area, hammocks and lazy chairs. Downstairs you will find the kitchen, living room and bathroom. With a staircase you reach the sleeping area. Here there is a double bed with mosquito net, a single bed and closets. Television is present to watch DVDs, soon there will be a TV connection and it will be possible to actually watch television. The surroundings of the nature house are hilly; the foothills of Serra de Monchique can be seen in the distance. It is very suitable here for walking among the olive trees, the cork and holm oaks and the eucalyptus trees with their delicious menthol smell. There are endless paths through the forest and between the hills, and for the enthusiast there is also the possibility to go not between the hills but over them. In the landscape itself there are abandoned farms and ruins everywhere and if you are lucky you will come face to face with a deer or a wild boar. In the village of Nave Redonda there are three cafes, two small supermarkets and a simple but nice restaurant, where traditional Portuguese dishes are prepared. The somewhat larger towns of Sao Teotonio and Monchique are both a 25-minute drive away. Quiet beaches abound, both in the Algarve and on the west coast. A 15-minute drive from the nature house lies a large lake area: Baragem de Santa Clara. Here you can swim and hike.
