Nature house in Bellwald

Built in 2008, this luxury ruralhut is situated just above the picturesque historic village of Bellwald in Goms: the German-speaking part of Wales, Switzerland. It lies at an altitude of 1700 meters, faces south, and has an unforgettable panoramic view over the Rhine valley and west of the Weisshorn (4500 meters) at Zermatt. You can visit all seasons: the ski slope is within walking distance, winter walks are defined, summer and fall are suitable for unforgettable walks and visits to the old village (monument) or the beautiful town of Brig with the cozy traditional shopping streets and the Stockalper Palast. The landlords offer you on the living room next to the hall and the bathroom with toilet, washbasin and massage shower, a cozy living room and a large dining area. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a double bedroom with comfortable boxspring beds and generous storage space. The lower floor offers you two generous double rooms and plenty of storage space. From these rooms you will head outside to enjoy the fresh alpine air and see the mountain peaks from your bed. On this floor there is also a bathroom with double sink, bath and toilet. Finally, the owners offer a children's room with bunk beds, cot and high chair. The house is equipped with electric underfloor heating, adjustable in each room. Of course there is WiFi, but you can also choose from many games and puzzles.

This house is located in the historic Walliser village of Bellwald. The village itself is car-free, you feel like you're in the 17th century. Bellwald is also known for the highest number of solar hours in the area. It offers the main facilities such as a supermarket, a bank, and several restaurants with Walliser specialties such as raclette and cheese fondue. The area is also famous for the excellent Walliser wines. Bellwald is the starting point for many beautiful walks, in various difficulty levels. For example, the famous long distance walk Gommer Höhenweg, starts at the house. This is the walk from Bellwald to Oberwald, which can be done in several stages. But you can also go downstairs and upstairs with a chairlift upstairs and with a larger gondola. One way to go is the walk from the village to Niederwald (the birthplace of Cesar Ritz), from there along the Rhone via Steinhaus, Mühlebach and the beautiful 90 meter high new suspension bridge back to the cable car. What about visiting the Eggishorn with majestic views of the Aletsch glacier (the largest glacier of the Alps) and then via Kühboden at about 2000 meters altitude via a spacious easy walk to the Bettmeralp and Riederalp? In the house you will find extensive information and hiking maps so you can plan trips. Each season is different and offers its own natural beauty. But having a good book and a glass of Walliser wine on the balcony is also a holiday! So something for everyone!
