Nature house in Sagelat

This nature house is quietly located near the medieval town of Belves in the Dordogne (Perigord Noir). If you like peace and beautiful views, this is the ideal place for a vacation. The cottage is located on the hill of Sagelat, from where you have a magnificent view over the entire valley. There is a wonderful jacuzzi at your disposal and WIFI is available (both facilities are included in the price). If you want to stay completely WiFi-less, this is easy to turn off. For daily shopping you are within 10 minutes in Siorac en Périgord, with a supermarket and several stores. This nature house is ideally suited for two people. In May 2025 the entire cottage has been refurbished.

In the vicinity start well-marked circular walks varying in number of kilometers. You walk on unpaved roads, across open fields, through forests and small villages. The cyclist and mountain biker can also enjoy themselves; the gently sloping landscape offers a nice challenge and there are beautiful country roads. This nature house is just five kilometers from the Dordogne River, where you can swim at small beaches and canoe. The canoe trip takes you past numerous castles and medieval towns, such as Beynac, la Roque-Gageac, Domme and Vitrac. Several times a week there are regional markets in the surrounding villages and there is always a 'vide grenier' (flea market) somewhere. Shopping is best done in Sarlat, the capital of the Perigord Noir, 26 kilometers from this nature house. Here you will find several galleries, boutiques and bijouterien. Many villages are built against the rocks. Once at the top you have a formidable view. But also the bastide towns like Beaumont and Monpazier, with their legendary past from the 100-year war, deserve a visit, as do the castles proudly situated on the Dordogne River. In Les Eyzies you will find museums on prehistory and in the area there are beautiful caves to visit. Horseback riding can be done downstairs at the farm.
