This nature house, hidden away in an area of outstanding natural beauty at 700m in the hills of Maremma near Roccalbegna, is a great place to relax, escape the stresses and strains of city life and enjoy the tranquility of the beautiful countryside of southern Tuscany (Grosseto province). This holiday home (50m2) is part of a restored stone barn overlooking the Albegna valley and northwards to Monte Labro. A double sofa bed in the living room offers sleeping accommodation for two people. There is a double bed and a folding single in the bedroom. A hairdryer is provided in the bathroom and in the bedroom there is a small safe. Terracotta tiles, chestnut beams, a traditional 'cucina in muratura' (kitchen corner) with a stone sink and the fireplace give the house a cozy old world atmosphere. Enjoy cool summer evenings, 'al fresco' dining with stunning views of Monte Labro and the private garden with aromatic Mediterranean flowersfrom the private terrace.

Maremma is the name of the southernmost part of Tuscany. The rolling hills of this area are famous for their unspoilt natural beauty. This nature house is located in the Albegna valley and has beautiful views over the valley and to Monte Labro. There are oak forests and fields with sheep around the house. Sometimes you can see wild animals like deer, wild boar, foxes, porcupines and hares when you arrive at the house. Walks are possible from the house and throughout the area. The Rocconi WWF nature reserve (130 ha.) is in the vicinity, the Pescinello nature reserve with its ancient oak trees is nearby too. Walk through the huge beech forests on Monte Amiata (20 mins).Experience the hot springs of Saturnia in the golden light of a late afternoon (25 mins). Discover the Etruscan remians of Pitigliano and Sorano (40 mins). Visit the UNESCO heritage Val d'Orcia with its lines of cypress trees.
