This nature house hidden in the hills of the Maremma at 700m, in an area of outstanding natural beauty near Roccalbegna, is a great place to relax, escape the stresses and strains of city life and enjoy the tranquility of the beautiful countryside of southern Tuscany (Grosseto province). This holiday home (50m2) is part of a restored stone barn and overlooks the Albegna valley, the Rocconi WWF nature reserve. On cool summer evenings the private terrace offers space for 'al fresco' dining with breathtaking views over the valley and multicolored sunsets. Terracotta tiles, chestnut beams, a traditional 'cucina in muratura' (kitchen corner) with a stone sink and the fireplace give the house a cozy old-world atmosphere. A double sofa bed in the living room offers sleeping accommodation for two people. There is a double bed and a folding single in the bedroom. A hairdryer is provided in the bathroom and in the bedroom, there is a small safe.

Maremma is the name of the southernmost part of Tuscany. The rolling hills of this area are famous for their pristine natural beauty. This nature house is located in the Albegna valley and has beautiful views over the valley and to Monte Labro. There are oak forests and fields with sheep around the house. Sometimes you can see wild animals like deer, wild boar, foxes, porcupines, and hares when you arrive at the house. Walks are possible from the house and throughout the area. The Rocconi WWF nature reserve (130 ha.) is in the vicinity, the Pescinello nature reserve with its ancient oak trees is nearby too. Enjoy walks on Monte Amiata with its enormous beech woods (20 mins). Try the hot springs at Saturnia in the golden light of late afternoons (25 mins). Be amazed by the beauty of the UNESCO heritage Val d'Orcia with its lines of cypress trees (40 mins). Discover the Etruscan remains of Pitigliano (35 mins). And you must walk along the amazing 8km beach in the Parco Maremma (75 mins).
