The property on which this nature house stands consists of a detached guest house (a converted grange) and a "family house" on a sizeable plot of land on a quiet road. Both houses have maximum privacy and an unobstructed view. For now, only the guest house is rented out. The cottage is hidden in the hills of the Aveyron, a quiet province with a very varied landscape, not yet discovered by tourists. The hilly area and the fresh air make it a paradise for runners, walkers and cyclists. The nature house has underfloor heating and the whole house is non-smoking.
Nature and surroundings
Directly from the nature house, via a rough descending path, you reach the stream l' Alzou. Along a beautiful village you walk back or further for the go-getters. You will hardly encounter cars on a one and a half hour hike. If you do get into your car, you will quickly reach Villefranche-de-Rouergue, with its beautiful medieval town center. More urban are Figeac and Rodez, which even has an airport. Also wonderful to visit: the wine region of Marcillac or the mysterious ruins of Peyrusse-le-Roc. Within 15 minutes you are at river Aveyron, with beautiful picnic spots and lovely cool swimming water. River Lot is a little further away (50 car minutes, nice road). This river is wider and deeper than the Aveyron. Canoeing is available on both rivers. Towards the east lies Lac de Pareloup, where sailboats can be rented. In the village of Rignac, three kilometers away, there are all amenities: two bakeries, a butcher, a large and a small supermarket, an equestrian center, a swimming pool (outdoor) and a market every week. There is plenty to do in the area, including "acro-branch" (advanced tree climbing) at various locations and with circuits for climbers of all ages and levels. The surroundings are quiet, agricultural, hilly and varied. There are forests, streams and rivers, ruins and beautiful towns like Figeac and Villefrance-de-Rouergue. In Rodez is an airport to which, among others, Ryanair flies.

Het huisje is sfeervol gerenoveerd en van alle gemakken voorzien
Het huisje staat aan een rustig landweggetje waar af en toe wat landbouwvoertuigen voorbij komen. Het heeft een òmsloten tuin met bomen voor een hangmat en veel schaduw, maar door de bossages ook wel ingesloten. Wat struiken weghalen aan de rand zou een fantastisch uitzicht geven en zicht op de schitterende zonsondergangen.
Wij genoten deze warme zomer van het nabije prachtige dal en het water van de Aveiron. -
