Pure relaxation on Lake Paterswoldsemeer! A truly unique location, quietly situated right on the lake, within cycling and boating distance of Groningen. The nature house is nestled in the heart of nature on a sheltered 1,600 m² lot. Here, you can enjoy swimming, sailing, fishing, and soaking in the beauty of nature and the water. There are beautiful hiking and biking trails in the surrounding area. The cottage is equipped with all modern amenities (dishwasher, oven, washing machine) and features three bedrooms. It also has a cozy wood stove. The parking lot is 800 meters away, about an eight-minute walk along a shell-covered path. A handcart is available to help transport your belongings to the nature house.

From the moment you arrive at the nature house, you’ll be overcome by a sense of freedom. Whether you’re enjoying a sail, having a picnic on one of the many islands, exploring the beautiful forests along the numerous hiking and biking trails, or soaking up the sun at one of the cozy restaurants, the Paterswoldsemeer offers plenty of space to do your own thing. The lake is part of the Paterswolde Lake District and is connected to the Hoornsemeer. The entire area, covering about 900 hectares, includes: lakes, forests, small islands, beaches, hiking trails, bike paths, recreational facilities, restaurants and cafes, and water sports facilities. Via a lock, the Paterswoldsemeer is also connected to the Noord-Willemskanaal and you can sail to the city of Groningen. True Groningen locals all know it: the Hoornse Plas. This lake is separated from the Paterswoldsemeer by a dam, making it ideal for recreational activities. If you’re a fishing enthusiast, the Paterswoldsemeer is the place for you. You can enjoy casting a line from the shore. Or you can rent a small boat and let your float and gear do the work out in the middle of the lake. The lake is home to pike, bream, roach, and eel, among other species.
