The estate on which this nature house is located, a former water mill, is uniquely situated on the protected river la Sioule, which winds its way across its own grounds. This charming robust nature house consists of two separate living areas, each with its own entrance. The left part of this house can be rented separately for six people, see house code 30312. In this ad it concerns the right part for two persons. This charmingly furnished cottage has access through the central terrace to the living kitchen with fireplace and wood stove. Above this is a large bedroom with separate shower/WC. From the kitchen diner a staircase leads to the downstairs storage room which has an exit to a romantic spot by the river. You have a lot of privacy here. Along the river there are hammocks in several places and a sauna. At night the tawny owl can be heard. A nature lover will not be bored for a moment here. Even in spring and autumn it is lovely to stay here!
Nature and surroundings
The protected river la Sioule is excellent for swimming, canoeing, fishing and hiking. A wonderful place in the woods on a pristine river full of fish and crayfish. Kingfishers and great yellow wagtails fly off and on, and dippers nest literally on your doorstep. The garden with wildflowers and many species of butterflies, is colorful and surprising. The starry sky on clear nights is breathtaking. Within five kilometers are all basic amenities in the old town of Ébreuil. More stores and supermarkets can be found in Gannat 12 kilometers away. Large cities like Vichy and Clermont-Ferrand can also be reached within 40 minutes. The ancient volcanic region of the Puy de Dôme is just under an hour's drive away. Swimming at Gour de Tazenat, an old crater lake and eating ice cream there is a wonderful outing. Brocantes visits are among the possibilities. And visiting the medieval town of Charroux is definitely a must! Enjoy the diversity and beauty of our environment!
