In the heart of the Ardèche, uniquely and quietly situated against a mountainside, lies the hamlet of La Basse Maza, to which this nature house belongs. You have a great deal of privacy with your own terraces and garden. There are also a number of facilities for general use. There are several seating areas, a jeu-de-boules court and there is a children's play area, which includes a playground and sandbox for the little ones. Of course there is the barbecue terrace, due to forest fire danger, open fire is strictly forbidden in summer. There is a nice bathroom and granulated stove. Authenticity has been preserved and the interior has been adapted to today's needs. You will find sun, peace, space, privacy, beautiful views and clear starry skies.

This nature house is located in Central Ardeche, at an altitude of about 500 meters, in a beautiful natural area that was declared "Parc Naturel Régional des Monts d'Ardèche" a few years ago. From here you can make several walks, collected in a map. 10 kilometers away is a survival-adventure Park Aquarock, where young and old can be active with mountain and water sports. You follow the "Dolce Via," a beautiful path built over an old train track along the Eyrieux River. In the area the landlords have some arrangements with the restaurants, where as a guest of the cottage you are offered the aperitif for free. Between 12 and 15 hours, most restaurants offer an interesting menu. Every day there are local markets and flea markets, for example in the characteristic villages, declared "Villages caractere", very worthwhile. In the nearest village there are a few restaurants, two supermarkets and a pharmacy. This part of the Ardeche is famous for its chestnuts. There is therefore a "Chestnut Museum".
