In a rural and quiet area stands this beautiful nature house, consisting of a large living room with wood stove and large kitchen which is fully equipped. From the kitchen one walks through two doors into the large garden. In the garden there is a playground for children and a swimming pool (8x4), which is shared with the managers (if present). Adjacent to the living room is a large bedroom with bathroom/toilet en suite. On the second floor of the vacation home there are three large bedrooms and a bathroom/toilet with bathtub. The house has been built as much as possible in the old French style (en pierre) but otherwise equipped with the necessary modern gadgets. Free Wi-Fi is available. Pets are not allowed. Crib and highchair for rent.
Nature and surroundings
One of the characteristics of Limousin is the variety of landscapes. So-called park landscapes alternate with deciduous and pine forests, undulating plains are interrupted by deep valleys with streams and rivers. Natural fens and reservoirs are scattered in the vast landscape. The environment of the nature house is characterized by hilly vistas with cozy and picturesque villages in between. The cottage is located on the Richard Lionheart route, a beautiful historical route equipped with many castles and large estates. In the village of Chalus in the Middle Ages Richard Lionheart was murdered, the ruins of the castle can be visited. Three kilometers from the cottage there is a bakery and artisan butcher. In Chalus there is a large supermarket, pharmacy, stores, not to mention the weekly market. Within a radius of 20 kilometers from the house are a number of caves, riding schools, swimming and fishing lakes (free access), forests, hiking trails and villages each with its own market and stores.
