Nature house in Vriescheloo

The house is quaint and special. We were prepared for that. Luckily we had nice weather the whole week, so we were only outside. In bad weather you could make yourself comfortable inside. However, there are a few small points that are only meant as positive criticism. The bathroom could do with a few hooks for towels and washing bag. The shower area is very special and you should think about ways to dry your laundry. The owner, Erik, is really nice and helped us immediately when we had a small problem. We would recommend it to people who are not into "zero eight fifteen". It's not for spoiled people who expect comfort and have a problem with small creepy-crawlies.

Das Haus ist urig und speziell. Darauf waren wir vorbereitet. Zum Glück hatten wir die ganze Woche schönes Wetter, so daß wir nur draußen waren. Bei schlechtem Wetter könnte man es sich drinnen gemütlich machen. Ein paar kleine Punkte Abzug, die nur als positive Kritik gemeint sind, gibt es aber doch. Das Bad könnte ein paar Haken für Handtücher und waschtasche gebrauchen. Der Duschbereich ist schon sehr speziell.
Man sollte über Möglichkeiten zum Wäsche trocknen nachdenken. Wäscheständer oder geschützt eine Leine mit klammern.

Erik, der Vermieter, ist total nett und hat sofort geholfen, als wir eine kleine Havarie hatten.

Wir würden es an Leute, die nicht auf "null acht fünfzehn" stehen weiter empfehlen. Für verwöhnte Menschen, die kompfort erwarten und mit kleinen krabbeltieren ein Problem haben, ist es eher nichts.

Einmaliges Naturgrundstück in perfekter naturnaher Umgebung. Hier konnte man Energie tanken. Und für die Hunde war es ein Hauch von Freiheit

This is actually a nice place to stay, but it urgently needs to be upgraded for the asking rent.

Eine eigentlich nette Unterkunft, die für den geforderten Mietpreis allerdings dringend aufgewertet werden müsste.

We knew that we would be staying in a farmhouse from the 1920s, but old doesn't mean unkempt, so we were a little disappointed. However, old has nothing to do with unkempt, so we were a little disappointed. A cupboard full of DVDs for rainy days - but no DVD player. A large fireplace and two wood-burning stoves in the house to keep it warm at 5-10 degrees outside and inside - but only damp firewood that hardly burns. And unfortunately the accommodation was too expensive for that - a shame. However, the landlords were very nice and helpful in advance. There is nothing to complain about.

Die Lage im Grünen war absolut top.
Dass wir in einem Bauernhaus aus den 1920er Jahren wohnen würde war uns klar. Allerdings hat alt nichts mit ungepflegt zu tun, daher waren wir ein wenig enttäuscht.
Ein Schrank voller DVDs für verregnete Tage - aber kein DVD-Player.
Eine große Feuerstelle und zwei Holzöfen im Haus, um es bei 5-10 Grad Außen- und Innentemperatur warm zu haben- aber nur feuchtes Kaminholz, das kaum brennt.

Und dafür war die Unterkunft leider zu teuer - schade.

Im Vorfeld waren die Vermieter allerdings sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Da gibt es nichts auszusetzen.

Had a wonderful vacation in the middle of nature.

Heerlijke vakantie gehad midden in de natuur.

We enjoyed the complete peace and quiet. Is truly a cottage in nature. Children enjoyed playing outside to their hearts content, looking for wood for a campfire and did plenty of fishing in the surrounding water. With the dog many walks from the cottage and hardly any other people encountered, though regular deer, hares ect. The cottage itself dates from 1910 but has some of the modern conveniences (wifi, TV, well equipped kitchen). The house is heated with 3 wood/gas stoves so on colder days a warm sweater and warm slippers are recommended. For us a successful vacation in the middle of nature!!!

We hebben genoten van de complete rust en stilte. Is daadwerkelijk een huisje in de natuur. Kinderen hebben genoten van het naar hartelust buiten kunnen spelen, hout zoeken voor een kampvuurtje en hebben volop gevist in het omliggende water. Met de hond veel gewandeld vanaf het huisje en nauwelijks andere mensen tegen gekomen, wel regelmatig reeën, hazen ect. Het huisje zelf stamt uit 1910 maar heeft wel wat van de moderne gemakken (wifi, tv, prima uitgeruste keuken). De woning wordt verwarmd met 3 hout/gaskachels dus bij koudere dagen is een warme trui en warme sloffen wel aan te raden. Voor ons een geslaagde vakantie midden in de natuur!!
