Nature house in Grou

We were not satisfied with this accommodation and even decided not to spend the night there. The shared sanitary toilets are not connected to the sewer and you have to flush yourself with a bucket of water. Also the toilets were not clean, we could see the poop splattered on them. In the cottage was a terrible musty smell. Airing through didn't help either. The fridge in the kitchen was also very dirty and the caravan wall near the terrace was actually decayed, so not as attractive as the ad makes it seem. The site itself was also very overgrown with lots of nettles. If you walked across the grounds, you also passed a dung heap. In short, we did not feel comfortable there and did not match the expectations we had of it. However, we did like the host and she welcomed us kindly.

Wij waren niet tevreden over deze accommodatie en hebben zelfs besloten om er niet te overnachten. De gedeelde sanitaire toiletten zijn niet aangesloten op het riool en moet je zelf doorspoelen met een emmer water. Ook de wc’s waren niet schoon, we zagen de poep spetters erop zitten. In het huisje hing een vreselijk muffe lucht. Ook doorluchten hielp niet. De koelkast in de keuken was ook heel vies en de caravan muur bij het terrasje was eigenlijk al vergaan, dus niet zo sfeervol als de advertentie doet lijken. Het terrein zelf was ook erg begroeid met veel brandnetels. Als je over het terrein liep, kwam je ook langs een mesthoop. Kortom, wij voelden ons er niet prettig en sloot niet aan bij de verwachting die we ervan hadden. Wel vonden we de host aardig en ze heeft ons vriendelijk verwelkomd.

There was peace and quiet, but actually too much nature. In our opinion it was not well maintained, too much vegetation and not clean.

Er was wel rust, maar eigenlijk teveel natuur. Het was naar onze mening niet goed onderhouden, te veel begroeid en niet schoon.

Everything you need is there. Beautiful place.

Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Mooie plek.

Here nature is still nature. Unspoiled and beautiful that it had not been mowed. Many birds and cozy some chickens who came to neighbor.

Hier is de natuur nog natuur. Ongerept en mooi dat er niet gemaaid was. Veel vogels en gezellig wat kipjes die kwamen buurten.

Small and back to basics, very nice that we were free to start a fire.

Klein en back to basic, heel fijn dat we vrij waren om een vuurtje te kunnen stoken.

Lovely back to basic stay in the middle of nature. Sweet owners who make you feel welcome. Many animals and nature in the yard. For a day in the city, Leeuwarden is also 20 min away by car. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back!

Heerlijk back to basic verblijf midden in de natuur. Lieve eigenaren die je een welkom gevoel geven. Veel dieren en natuur op het erf. Voor een dagje stad is Leeuwarden ook nog eens op 20 min afstand met de auto. Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf en gaan zeker nog eens terug!
