Nature house in Pusztamérges

This nature house stands on an originally Hungarian tanya (farm) with outbuildings, which were completely renovated in 2011 and converted into two full-fledged vacation homes. Both houses meet all contemporary requirements, but the original features have been preserved as much as possible. The cottage is completely on the ground floor. The spacious dining kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, Senseo, filter coffee machine and fridge/freezer. Cooking on gas (bottles). In the cozy living room there is a folding bed (queen), but two folding beds can also be placed. The spacious bedroom has a double bed and linen closet. The bathroom has a shower (cabin), toilet and bathroom cabinet and has underfloor heating. All windows have screens and shutters. The private veranda and seats in the garden (both private and communal) invite you to live outdoors. Horseback riding is possible directly nearby; the hosts can organize it for you. Several geocaching locations have been set up in the province. The nearest neighbor lives 400 meters away and speaks Dutch. If desired, the hosts can provide breakfast for you.

The yard of this nature house is located in a wooded area on a dirt road. You can hike here for hours, with a greater chance of seeing deer than meeting people. Also an ideal environment for mountain bikers. The landscape is mainly flat. For touring cyclists there are several routes, with more and more bicycle paths being built. You have to cross the dirt road to the paved road, but then you can enjoy yourself completely. Hungary is known for its thermal pools. You can also find several in the vicinity of Pusztamérges. Besides exploring the area, you can also visit a number of cities, such as Szeged and Subotica (Serbia). These cities are known for their Art-Nouveau architecture. If desired, the hosts can organize an excursion. Every Sunday there is a huge market in a nearby town. Here new and used items are offered for sale. Here you can walk around for hours and experience how Hungarians live. Besides the peace and quiet during the day you can enjoy a beautiful starry sky at night. The nature house is located 1.5 kilometers outside the village of Pusztamérges, where there is a supermarket, post office and several small stores.
