At a height of 325 meters, this ruralhut is truly unique. The beautiful panoramic view can be admired from the house through the large windows that make the living space very light. In the colder months of the year, the house is heated by a central wood burning stove. In spring and summer, the large windows provide a pleasant but not too warm indoor temperature, thanks to the electric heating element, heat can be adjusted quickly.
Nature and surroundings
This ruralhut is quietly located outside the village, at the end of a dead end road. In three minutes you can walk from the driveway along the cows to the forest, to descend along the Ourthe or arboretum with old building and operational new watermill. A little further, on the village square about 300 meters, is a fun children's playground. In the village, a cozy tavern is located in a converted Ardennes farm. In Rendeux at two kilometers you will find a supermarket, some shops and restaurants (including the Chateau de Rendeux) and the Moulin de Hamoul (three kilometers). The tourist town of La Roche is 12 kilometers away, historic Durbuy at 20 kilometers away and the cozy Marche-en-Famenne at 17 kilometers away. The house is a great base for people who are looking for more simplicity, tranquility, privacy and those who love beautiful landscapes and want to rediscover nature. Kayaking, countless nature walks and mountain bike tours can be enjoyed and there are many nice restaurants in the region. Along the Ourthe there are possibilities for swimming in the river with protected areas for children in the summer. You can have a barbecue on the terrace or on the large sunbathing area and enjoy the beautiful scenery around you. The children can play outside in safety as the whole area is fenced.
