Nature house in Eyzahut

Vacation in unprecedented peace and quiet? That is what this small, simple, but very well maintained nature house in the beautifully situated Eyzahut offers. With excursions: cultural events of often high level, old towns, cozy markets, delicious restaurants and of course wonderful walks and swimming in the local pool or in the Roubion (river). The cottage is part of an 18th century farmhouse located just outside the village center of Eyzahut. The farm used to consist of three small houses. Some of the cellars are still in their original condition, and not much has changed on the outside either. Inside, the house has been somewhat remodeled and equipped with modern comforts, but without losing its charm. From the terrace of the cottage one has a beautiful view of the Eyzahut falaise. The living area with kitchenette occupies the first floor. Adjacent to it is a spacious south-facing terrace. Upstairs there is a bedroom with two single beds, which can be made up as one if desired. In addition, there is a bathroom with a shower stall, sink and toilet.

Eyzahut is located in the Drôme Provençale, the southernmost part of the department of Drôme. This area borders Provence and that means: lots of sunshine, olive groves, fragrant lavender fields, beautiful starry skies. Unlike Provence, however, nature here is more varied and the old villages are often still truly unspoiled. The region is known for its potteries and many wine villages (Côtes-du-Rhône). There is also much to discover culturally in this interesting region. There are beautiful churches and castles, museums, exhibitions and concerts. The hiking possibilities are very varied. For cyclists, there are plenty of beautiful deserted roads, but the hills are sometimes steep! You can swim in July and August in the pleasant, beautifully situated local swimming pool (a five-minute walk from the cottage) and if there is enough water in the rivers including the Roubion (a few kilometers from the cottage). Horseback riding and tennis are also available. Eyzahut is a tiny village with about 120 inhabitants. It is very quiet and the cottage is also in a very quiet place. Even in high season you notice in this nature house nothing of the possible crowds in France.
