This nature house concerns an old farmhouse whose living area has been renovated into a nature house. Very quietly located along a small, steep country road with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. There is a large covered terrace with barbecue and a swimming pool with sunbathing area. Cows regularly graze on the surrounding meadows. Tap water comes directly from the well and electricity is generated on site by solar panels and a windmill. The cottage is located on a slope and consists of four levels: the basement with the technical facilities, the ground floor with the kitchen and a bedroom, shower room and toilet. On the floor directly accessible from the rear of the house is the sitting area, a walk-through bedroom, a shower room and wc. A staircase in the walk-through bedroom leads to two bedrooms in the attic.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house lies within walking distance (1.5 kilometers) from the village center, where you will find a bakery, a food store, a butcher, 2 bars, a pizzeria and an auberge. Désaignes is a cosy village, with medieval streets and squares at the foot of a castle. In the summer a beach is built on the banks of the Doux and you can swim there. The place is located on the edge of the regional natural park Les Monts d Ardèche and, with its numerous marked hiking and mountain bike trails, is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful and unspoiled region. In the nearby "centre équestre - Le Vergier" you can go for horseback riding. There are also several farms where you can participate in "les jeudis à la ferme" during the high season.
