Escape the hustle and bustle and experience peace, space and privacy in this characterful nature house in the municipality of Bronckhorst. This detached farmhouse is located just outside the village center of Baak, a hundred meters from the public road, in the middle of greenery. The farmhouse dates from 1830 and was originally a farm worker's house. The former barn and stables are now furnished as a spacious living and dining room with French doors opening onto a sheltered terrace facing southwest. All rooms are located on the ground floor. The farmhouse has 3 bedrooms, a spacious bathroom with shower and 2 sinks and a large dining kitchen at the front. The nature house offers comfortable sleeping accommodation for up to 6 people. All rooms are ground floor, a charming detail being the low front door and one low bedroom door, a nod to the old days when people were smaller. A wonderful place for those who appreciate nature, comfort and history.
Nature and surroundings
East of the Gelderland IJssel and Rhine rivers lies the Achterhoek, a diverse and green region with a park-like landscape. Forests alternate with fields and meadows, while rivers and streams cross the area. Scattered through the landscape are characteristic farms, atmospheric villages and numerous castles. In the vicinity are several historic Hanseatic cities to visit, such as Zutphen, Deventer, Bronkhorst and Doesburg. For nature lovers there is plenty of choice: in the immediate vicinity of the nature house you will find several hiking trails, including a children's nature trail in the Deer Forest. And the Achterhoek offers excellent opportunities for walking and cycling in peace and quiet.
