Nature house in Vierhuizen

This nature house (33 m²) is on a Nature Campground and is located on the edge of National Park Lauwersmeer, near World Heritage Site Wadden Sea. The cottage is furnished for four people, contains a dining and sitting area with TV, two bedrooms with two single beds each, comforters and pillows are provided, sheet sets are optional to book. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, dishes, pans and cutlery. There is a kettle, coffee filter holder, thermos bottle and a Senseo. In the bathroom you will find a sink, shower and a toilet. The cottage is kept at temperature with central heating. There is patio furniture on the partially covered veranda. For the children there is a play area with crawl tube, playhouse, playground equipment with slide and a swing. The nature house is an excellent starting point for a day trip to Groningen or Dokkum. In the vicinity you can enjoy cycling and walking.

You will find the nature house on the edge of the National Park Lauwersmeer, which offers many opportunities to enjoy nature. Excursions with the forest ranger are organized from the activity center of the Forestry Commission. In June, part of the park turns purple with flowering orchids. If you walk along the orcid trail, you can see everything up close. It is also a unique park for birdwatchers. With a little luck you will see the bald eagle, which has been breeding here for several years. But not only the park is worth seeing. There are several special (botanical) gardens and nurseries to visit. Furthermore, a day trip to Schiermonnikoog is recommended. The ferry takes you to the island in 45 minutes (and you might see seals along the way!). Then enjoy cycling or walking and getting a breath of fresh air on the beach. In the surrounding villages there are many museums and galleries. At 2.5 kilometers you will find the fishing village of Zoutkamp, with several restaurants and pubs.
