On a private property of 12 acres, about 200 meters from the main road, you will be the only guests in this 4-star rated nature house. The grounds are protected nature reserve. The driveway is closed with an electrically operated gate. One half of the house is rented out, in the other half live Marjolein and Wim, the Dutch owners. Because of the construction of the house, the two parts are completely separated. The gite has its own entrance and terraces. The pool is heated in the early and late season. All rooms have air conditioning. The house has high-speed fiber optic internet.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located outside the village, in the Corbieres, 20 minutes from Carcassonne, 45 minutes from the Mediterranean Sea and 1.5 hours from Spain. Our nature house is in the middle of nature. The air there is pure: for miles around there is nothing that causes even the slightest air pollution. The property is 12 acres, but even around it there are hardly any buildings. The only neighbors live about 500 meters away; there is no further habitation until the village of Montlaur, three kilometers away. In Montlaur (600 inhabitants) you will find a café/restaurant with a cozy terrace, post office, a small well-stocked supermarket and several wine estates that produce fine wines. For large supermarkets and other stores, Trebes (15 minutes) and Carcassonne (20 minutes) are the nearest . The landscape on and around the property is dominated by garrigue, forests, olive trees, fields and vineyards. You can walk endlessly without meeting anyone.
