Nature house in IJzendijke

Very nice cottage to stay in, with a cozy gas stove, enough room for 5 people (note: one person then sleeps in the upstairs hallway, but for us that worked perfectly), good beds and enough conveniences in the kitchen.

Heel fijn huisje om in te verblijven, met een gezellig gaskacheltje, genoeg ruimte voor 5 personen (let op: één persoon slaapt dan in het gangetje op de bovenverdieping, maar voor ons werkte dat perfect), goede bedden en genoeg gerief in de keuken.

Fantastic cottage, very comfortable and very quiet. We saw a hawk that lived at the cottage and came peeping every day, incredible! The contact with the caretaker is also very nice.

Fantastich huisje, heel gerieflijk en heel rustig gelegen. Wij zagen een havik die aan het huisje woonde en elke dag even kwam piepen, ongelooflijk! Het contact met de beheerder is ook heel fijn.

Beautiful old dyke house, cozy. From the house villages and towns nearby are easily accessible. Quiet location with wide views.

Mooi oud dijkhuis, knus. Vanuit het huis zijn dorpen en steden in de buurt goed bereikbaar. Rustig gelegen met weids uitzicht.

Nice large garden, outside surrounded by fields, on a quiet dyke road. Seen an awful lot of different species of birds. Great vastness. Views from the living room and bedrooms are beautiful.

Fijne grote tuin, daarbuiten omringd door velden, aan een rustige dijkweg. Ontzettend veel verschillende soorten vogels gezien. Grote weidsheid. Uitzicht vanuit de woonkamer en slaapkamers is prachtig.

What a lovely cottage that quickly became "our cottage" and that says it all. When you can appreciate peace, coziness and simplicity you have come to the right place. For us, all these ingredients were present for a pleasant stay. It is an old house with its charms and that makes it fun for us. Great house in a quiet location along a dike. Beautiful spacious garden which was also enjoyable for our dog. Good contact with the managers, we felt very welcome. Nice combination of characteristic and modern. There is a nice, modern, shower room and also the gas heaters did their job well in the cooler evenings of September / October. Also a nice base for visiting the beautiful Ghent and only a "Achterhoek quarter" of the beautiful beach of Groede. Bruges is also practically around the corner but unfortunately we did not get around to it. In short, for us reason enough to go back to "our house" one more time.

Wat een heerlijk huisje dat al snel "ons huisje" werd en dat zegt genoeg.
Wanneer je rust, gezelligheid en eenvoud kunt waarderen ben je hier aan het goede adres. Voor ons waren al deze ingrediënten aanwezig voor een prettig verblijf. Het is een oud huisje met bijbehorende charmes en dat maakt het voor ons juist leuk.
Prima huisje op een heerlijk rustige ligging langs een dijk. Mooie ruime tuin wat ook voor onze hond genieten was. Goed contact met de beheerders, we voelden ons zeer welkom.
Fijne combinatie van karakteristiek en modern. Er is een mooie, moderne, doucheruimte en ook de gaskachels deden goed hun werk in de wat killere avonden van september/oktober.
Ook een fijne uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan het mooie Gent en slechts een "Achterhoeks kwartiertje" van het mooie strand van Groede. Ook Brugge ligt praktisch om de hoek maar daar zijn we helaas niet aan toe gekomen.
Kortom, voor ons reden genoeg om nog een keertje naar "ons huisje" terug te gaan.
